LESSON 1 OF 5
Define the useful result
Choose one task a suitable developer can complete to understand why your product matters.
“Finish setup” describes preparation. A useful result might be a delivered test notification, a trace they can inspect, or a request that returns data they recognize. The result depends on your product and the developer's job.
The directory's Langfuse README profile is a starting point for studying how an inspectable output can shape a quickstart. Follow its source and consider which parts fit your own journey; the profile does not establish onboarding performance.
Today, write the task, required environment, credentials, expected output and the check that tells a developer it worked. Identify the next useful action after that first result.
Use the developer onboarding worksheet to record the path. Keep the task small enough to explain, while preserving the setup needed to perform it.
