LESSON 3 OF 5
Make the setup route complete
List everything a new developer needs before following your quickstart: runtime, account, permissions, credentials, test data and relevant environment settings.
Then walk through the instructions in order. At each step, ask what the developer should do, what should happen, and what to check when it does not.
The Supabase docs profile offers a reference for examining routes organized by framework. Use the idea where environment differences matter; include only paths you can maintain.
Today, compare your README and quickstart with the quickstart comparison worksheet. Record missing prerequisites, unexplained transitions and uncertain success checks.
Use the documentation consistency review to surface version and setup signals worth investigating. Verify apparent differences manually: different instructions may serve different environments.
Also inspect whether the agent documentation finder can locate the public setup and reference pages. The llms.txt directory supplies examples of machine-readable entry points. File presence does not establish that an assistant understands or recommends your product.
Finish with one complete route from prerequisites to the result you defined in lesson one.
