Task collection

Set up activation measurement

Combine collection, experimental control and qualitative feedback around one useful product action.

How the pieces fit

PostHog can collect behavior, GrowthBook can support assignment, and Formbricks can collect direct explanations. Connect identifiers and consent requirements explicitly; these tools are not an automatically integrated stack.

A practical sequence

  1. Define activation and its account or user unit.
  2. Instrument and verify one real path before creating a dashboard.
  3. Use a survey to investigate a specific break; use a controlled experiment only when assignment and sample make sense.

Check identity joins and eligibility; a survey response cannot substitute for an experimental outcome.

Resources for the task

PostHog

Product events, replay, feature flags and experiments with product-specific free allowances and usage billing.

You need to connect acquisition to product behavior and can maintain event definitions.

Formbricks core

An AGPLv3 survey application with link, website and in-app surveys; enterprise modules have a separate license.

You need responses tied to a specific user experience or research question.

GrowthBook core

An open-core feature flag and experiment platform with MIT core code, commercial directories, webhooks and a REST API.

You have an experiment hypothesis, assignment plan and trustworthy outcome events.
