Turn support questions into documentation work

Hi,

Public support questions can help you find places where instructions leave a developer uncertain. Start by understanding the reported episode.

Use the developer support explorer to inspect a bounded sample of issues. Read the original thread and check the version, environment and resolution. A closed issue can have several meanings; the label alone does not explain what happened.

For an illustrative library, a question about where to supply a credential might lead to a missing prerequisite in the quickstart. A runtime compatibility issue may instead need a supported-version statement or a separate setup route.

Use the issue-to-documentation checklist to connect the question to a page, owner and acceptance check. The README and docs directory offers patterns to inspect when choosing how to present the repair.

This week, trace one support question to the information a developer needed. Write a proposed change and how you will verify it. Issue frequency describes the sample; it does not measure the number of people who abandoned your product.
