SAAS + DEVELOPER-TOOL GROWTH
Prepare a developer launch around a usable workflow
Hi,
Before announcing a developer tool, follow the path from your launch message to the first useful result.
For an illustrative SDK, that path might include a public repository, supported runtime, installation instructions, a test credential, one verified request and its expected response. Check which of those the intended developer can access. Name a support route for failures.
Use the GitHub launch readiness checker to inspect public repository signals, then verify the workflow in a supported environment. Repository metadata cannot establish that the example runs.
Browse the distribution directory for relevant communities, launch routes and developer newsletters. Compare fit and participation requirements before choosing a destination. A directory listing is a candidate to investigate, not a promised placement.
This week, prepare one demonstrable task and a launch brief that explains who it helps, what they need and how they can try it. Use the feature launch kit to coordinate the assets and ownership.
Record repository attention separately from a successful evaluation and a later team rollout.
