SAAS + DEVELOPER-TOOL GROWTH
Put a scope around marketing help
Hi,
Before looking for marketing help, write the work you need someone to take responsibility for.
An illustrative developer-tool team might need a technical content specialist to reproduce a supported integration and explain its expected output, or a developer relations practitioner to own a defined community program. Another may first need the founder to investigate whether the intended customer has the problem the product addresses. The appropriate support depends on the work and the evidence already available.
Use the First Marketing Hire tool to explore the situation. Then compare viable options with the support scenario planner, using your own quotes, spending needs and available management time.
This week, write a short scope: the constraint, the work, the observable outcome, what you will supply and what is excluded. Check whether the assignment is understandable before turning it into a job description or project request.
You can then use the marketing hiring kit to prepare responsibilities and an evaluation plan.
Reply with the responsibility you most want to hand over.
